Foodpanda is a mobile food delivery marketplace that operates throughout all Asia. They commissioned us a one minute long animation to promote their biggest end of year sale.
12×12 was a campaign designed to celebrate Foodpanda’s relationship with it’s users and it’s endurance in the region of Thailand.
The numbers 12×12 is the centrepiece of the whole campaign. Aesthetically we wanted the boldness of the numbers to be a constant through the animation, so we developed a language of fonts based in 70’s Thai movie posters combined by dynamic frame by frame animation to ensure a fun, fast and comprehensive messages. For the backgrounds, we combined different landmarks pictures from Thailand and treated them as halftone collages to reinforce the 70’s movie aesthetics.
