Thahara is a new concept of boutique hotels based in Myanmar. Offering unique and authentic accommodation and experiences around the country. The properties are small and intimate, allowing to offer a genuinely personal experience. Thahara means friendship in Pali, one of the ancient languages once used in Myanmar.
From a starting point, we wanted the logo to capture the local heritage that Thahara wanted to transmit. Playing with distressed fonts and hand drawn monograms based on actual embellishments or local daily activities to represent the reality of the communities were the hotels are based.
We also designed the website following similar cohesive criteria from the branding.
